People choose to see a therapist for a variety of reasons whether it is for personal growth, an issue that needs to be resolved, a life transition, past or current trauma, difficulties in relationships, feeling stuck and unsure how to move forward, depression, anxiety, or grief and loss. Regardless of the reasons, it takes courage to face whatever is causing you pain or suffering.
During therapy, we explore these issues by looking at what works in your life and what doesn't. We find new coping skills and ways to create a life filled with joy and meaning. I usually start off seeing you for weekly sessions and then as you start to feel better, we would move to every other week to once a month. I work collaboratively with you in a respectful and safe environment to reach your goals.
INDIVIDUAL THERAPY: My approach to therapy includes mindfulness, somatic work, EMDR, and interpersonal neurobiology.
